"Wise Carpenter" - workshop for boys

We love to support people and organisations that actively work to change our city for the better. One such organisation is “Wise Carpenter”. In Ukraine around 50% of families break up, destroying the very concept of “family values”. In most cases, it’s the father who leaves; the one who’s supposed to teach his sons what it means to be a man, how to behave, how to take on responsibility. Young boys feel the absence of their fathers especially hard. They don’t have anyone to share male wisdom with them, or teach them how to support mums and families. This is why “Wise Carpenter” was started for boys aged 7 to 12. It’s a creative space where men can pass on their skills to boys during the process of making all sorts of different items. We were glad to support their work with gifts of a printer and projector. They’ve already used the projector in several meet-ups, so we know it’s working well and helping make our city better.
